Wildlife The Rosella Parrot is a medium-sized parrot species that lives in southeastern regions of Australia. The length is between 26 and 37 cm. They live in forested areas and make their nests on trees in the forest. In the wild, they are fed with forest fruits and flower buds. In addition, since it is a species of parrot that loves water, there are usually small rivers near its habitat. They can live 20-25 years under natural conditions and proper care conditions.

There are many different species of Rosella and its subspecies. All species are divided into two groups as Rosella with Blue Cheeks and Rosella with White Cheeks. In our country, Crimson Rosella is grown, usually Rosella with White Cheek, Rosella with Yellow Root (Gold Rosella) and Rosella with Blue Cheek.

The most commonly fed blue-cheeked Rozella species in our country; Crimson Rosella's cheek spots, the side of the wings and the tail feathers are blue. The wing stains are black. Otherwise the whole body is red.

The most commonly fed white-cheeked rosella species in our country is Rosella with Yellow Ribbon. White cheek spots, yellow body structure. The head and neck are red, and the side of the wings is blue.
Cage Care
Although the Rosella parrot has a generally grueling character, it can be domesticated and socialized with plenty of interest. There is no ideal cage size, the bigger the cage size to live, the better. The cage size should not be smaller than the wing opening. It is also useful to be able to open them out of the cage as much as possible, in terms of socialization and wings. Rosella is a kind of parrot that loves water. For this reason, water must be placed in a dish or bowl in the cage, especially for frequent washing in hot weather.
Nutrition / Diet
It is not right to apply a standard diet program for the Rosella parrot. Since there are many diverse forms of nutrition in the wild, it is also true that a wide variety of domestic Rosella's are fed. You can often eat fresh fruits and vegetables as well as ready-made parrot fodder. A pet and social Rosella parrot may want to share your meals while you are eating, by coming to a corner of your dining table or by your shoulder.
Speaking Skills
The Rosella parrot is not the kind of parrot that has a good speaking ability. Especially in the morning hours, they can pass by the sound. They can mimic whistling and similar voices. With a very persistent education, only a few words can be spoken.
